Try Chromium OS, On a Stick

A scaled down bootable image file of the new Google OS dubbed Chromium OS Diet can be written to a minimum 1GB USB stick and booted. I'm sure you'll be surprised to note that it looks an awful lot like a Chrome Browser with a tools page for launching but at least you too can now behold the Chromium Googleness without a netbook and solid state drive.
