Well thank god is what I have to say here. The merger of Eidos and Square Enix has pushed forth a pearl into the PC seabed in the form of Deus Ex 3. Square will be providing the cinematics while Eidos concentrates on the non-consoled gameplay, preventing the nerfing that Deus Ex 2 had. The movies in the first game were non-existent as it used the in-game engine to portray story while the second mearly had an intro/outro so it's hard to say what will happen. Hopefully Square's incredible talent will be utilized somewhere between early Final Fantasy and far short of Metal Gear Solid 4.
