The follow up on the Kotaku article states that the return of the website and permission to release will give the fans their first episode on July 10th. The game will be episodic (I assume because it's still not complete), in two chapters for a total of five episodes. How much time will be between episodes remains to be seen, but at least there will be a foot in the door.

Many may have read the Kotaku article on the fan-made Kings Quest: The Silver Lining getting shut down after almost a decade of work. It was a heroic tale of a small group of developers getting the blessings of a big conglomerate only to have it revoked just a short time later. Well it seems that the article, and popularity of Kotaku of course, have helped turn things around again.
